Is the preview really free?
Yes. Upload as many photos as you like and see the finished, measured result for free (with a watermark). You only pay when you're happy and want the clean files.
What do I get when I pay?
The digital photo at the exact pixel size and file size your document requires, plus print-ready sheets (A4 and 4×6 in) with cut guides at true physical size, for home or photo-shop printing.
Can I take the photo with my phone?
Yes. Stand about 1–1.5 m from the camera, face it straight on with a neutral expression, eyes open and mouth closed, in even light without shadows. Ask someone else to take it if you can — arm's-length selfies distort the face.
Do I need a white wall?
No. If your background doesn't meet the rules, we remove it and replace it with the exact colour your document requires (white, off-white or light grey).
How do you check that my photo is compliant?
We detect 478 facial landmarks and your hair outline, then crop so head height, eye line and the space above your head fall inside the official ranges for your document. Every result shows these measurements. If a rule can't be met, we tell you before you pay.
Can I wear glasses?
Some documents, including the US passport and visa, don't allow glasses at all; others allow them only without glare or tinted lenses. Removing them is the safest choice for any document.
